During fundraising, often the first thing a potential investor sees is your Linkedin profile. Usually even before they open your pitch deck.
So, this needs to make a strong impression. Investors are often inundated with inbound messages, so make it as easy as possible for them to understand who you are, what your startup does, and why this is relevant to them.
Some areas that you might want to tweak:
Your Headline: Go beyond just your title. Make it clear what you do and who you serve. Example: “SaaS Founder | Building AI-powered solutions for the healthcare industry”
Your Summary: Write a brief yet compelling summary highlighting your experience, your company’s focus, and your USP. Think of it as your elevator pitch in writing.
Your Experience: Quantify your experience and achievements whenever possible (e.g., for a prev role, “Increased sales by 20%” or “Added 5 engineers through personal network”). Of all your skills and experiences, it’s time to highlight those that are directly applicable to your current startup.
