I realized that one of the biggest handicaps to my blogging was the availability of a decent blog composing/posting software.
I love Microsoft Live Writer. But for some reason it would never run on my old WinXP (after a few dozen reinstalls, etc, long story).
Now I have it back and I’m guessing I’m blogging again?!!!

Total WTF! You need random native OS applications to write blogs? That is like saying “I wasn’t using email since my outlook wasn’t running”. Have you heard of this thing called web browser?

Umm… and what was stopping you from using the web-based admin section of wordpress thats really good?

Umm, Arwind, actually … yes.
My emailing frequency does drop when I am not working through Outlook on my personal laptop.
In fact, I just formatted my laptop and reinstalled Outlook and now, till all my settings are back and proper, I am still seeing a drop in productivity.
I guess it’s just me. I like some things the way they are made and prefer them to others.
And no, before you guys cry out “Bloody M$ fan”, I was this way when using Lotus Notes too. Once I’m used to it, it just makes life that much easier.
And look who’s complaining, the two guys I know who would still kill for the command prompt over a GUI?! Hehehe
Using the web-based admin section of WordPress vs. Windows Live Writer is like using your cPanel to create folders and move files, compared to a command prompt.
