I was just reading the Cluetrain Manifesto
Whats stopping XM (or Sirius) from lanuching a Podcasting channel on their services? Or launch.com for that matter?
Or course the podcast content needs to be correctly licensed from the creators. But most of it is free right now, and I think if the radio stations decide on some form of revenue share, then it will allow them access to tons of good content.
Irrespective of the model, I, for one, would be willing to provide my podcasts to them for free if that means more popularity for my views and my ideas about things.
The additional popularity for me as a creator is a good touch too!!!
Even a small college radio station should be able to do this using a simple streaming server!
